Jake Velazquez — Artist Bio
Jacob "Jake" Velazquez is an 18-year-old multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, audio engineer, and music director from South Florida whose career began at age three and has since put him on stages most musicians spend a lifetime chasing. He has appeared as a contestant on America's Got Talent, performed on Good Morning America, The View, CNN, and The Steve Harvey Show, and shared the stage with Harry Connick Jr. Vero Beach Magazine called him "a showman to the fullest extent of the word."
Jake plays guitar, piano, drums, saxophone, cello, bass, harmonica, ukulele, and keytar — and uses every one of them. As a producer and audio engineer, he writes, tracks, mixes, and masters his own releases out of his South Florida studio.
Alongside his sister Skylar, Jake performs as The Jake n' Sky Show, a touring act that travels the country raising funds, awareness, and acceptance for families touched by autism. The mission is personal: Jake was diagnosed at a young age with PDD-NOS, a form of autism — a diagnosis that has shaped how he works, not whether he works.
As Music Director and Board Member of the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, Jake leads STARS of the Spectrum, the foundation's performing band of musicians on the autism spectrum. Under his direction, STARS has taken the stage at Hard Rock Live at Universal Orlando, the Sunscreen Film Festival, Boston Marathon Fan Fest, and the Converse Sneakers world headquarters in Boston.
Jake's Christian faith anchors everything he creates, guided by Colossians 3:23. He is currently writing and producing new music with new releases and sync placements on the horizon.
