Meet Jacob Velazquez
Jacob Velazquez is an 18-year-old multi-instrumentalist, music director, producer, and songwriter from South Florida. A former contestant on America’s Got Talent, Jacob has also been featured on Good Morning America, The View, CNN, and The Steve Harvey Show, and has performed in concert with Harry Connick Jr.

A musical prodigy, Jacob began playing music at just 3 years old. Today, he plays an impressive range of instruments including piano, drums, guitar, saxophone, cello, bass, harmonica, ukulele, and even the keytar.

Jacob currently serves as Music Director for the youth ministry at Potential Church, one of the largest churches in South Florida.

He is a proud PRS Pulse Artist with PRS Guitars and is endorsed by WFLIII Drums.

Jacob was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified), a form of autism. Rather than hold him back, his diagnosis has fueled his determination to inspire others through his music and story.

In addition to his solo work, Jacob performs alongside his sister as the duo Jake n’ Sky. Both on the autism spectrum, the siblings have toured across the U.S., raising tens of thousands of dollars for families impacted by autism. Their debut Christian Contemporary album, Breakthrough, was released in early 2025.

Together, Jake n’ Sky have performed at events including:
-
Christmas on Las Olas
-
The Broken Boy Movie Premiere
-
2022 Special Olympics USA Games
-
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend – Stars on the Spectrum
-
Universal Studios CityWalk
-
The Doug Flutie Foundation’s 25th Anniversary at Fenway Park
…and many more! -

“Just because you have autism doesn’t mean you aren’t smart, talented, and capable of great things. It does mean we are Unique, Different, and Cool!”
— Jacob Velazquez
